The Kisumu Training Center serves as AFTI’s main campus in western Kenya and provides students in the region with accessible training in human resources and business. Located within the Maseno University Town Campus in the Milimani area, the Kisumu Center opened its doors in 2011.

Get To Know Us

This launch expanded AFTI’s reach beyond Nairobi and Mombasa into Kenya’s third largest city. Students from counties throughout western Kenya like Kisumu, Siaya, and Homa Bay can now obtain AFTI diplomas locally. Situated near the buzzing commercial district and Lake Victoria shoreline, the conveniently located Kisumu Center campus attracts youth eager to gain HR skills without leaving town. While smaller in scale than the main campuses, the Kisumu Training Center plays an important role in decentralizing AFTI’s educational offerings. Along with its sister campuses, it helps equip the next generation of HR professionals from all corners of Kenya.

Transportations

There are many options to getn to the campus.

Here are some tips for traveling to the AFTI Kisumu Training Center:

The Kisumu Center is located inside the Maseno University Town Campus in the Milimani area, about 7km from downtown Kisumu.
Public vans and matatus can be taken from Kisumu city center to Maseno University Town Campus. Ask the driver to drop you at the Maseno campus entrance.
For private transport, provide the driver with “Maseno University Town Campus, Milimani” as the destination. Parking is available inside the campus.
The campus is accessible from major roads like the Kisumu-Busia Highway and Kisumu-Nairobi Highway. Use landmarks like the Kiboswa Market to navigate to Milimani.
From the Kisumu central bus station, take a matatu for Maseno University and alight at the Kiboswa stage. Then take a boda boda for the short ride to the university campus.
Once inside the Maseno University Town Campus, the AFTI Kisumu Center is located on the Ground Floor. Follow campus signs.
Leave adequate time to account for Kisumu traffic congestion during high commuting periods. Travel early if possible
